Advetec – the BioTechnology company behind our XO22 biodigester – has labelled JWitt as a waste innovator in a business case study on their corporate website. The article focuses on our use of the Advetec XO22 biodigester as a way to turn black bin waste into a coal alternative.
Advetec are an innovative biotechnology company tackling the reduction of unrecyclable waste.
The biodigester works using granularised powdered enzymes to breakdown waste which is deemed unrecyclable.
Advetec is helping us reduce our carbon footprint and that of more than 1,000 businesses across the South West of England, by turning unrecyclable waste into Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF).
Using the XO22, we at JWitt will convert waste into Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) using biotechnology on-site.
By introducing the process the disposal cost is significantly reduced along with the CO2 emissions.
Turning unrecyclable waste into SRF gives it greater value, benefitting the circular economy by providing an alternative to high carbon-emitting fossil fuels.
