Recycled aggregates at JWitt Waste recycling in Somerset

Aggregate FAQs

We do not offer bagged recycled aggregates. We deliver our recycled aggregates loose using our skips which will then be tipped out at your site. Should you want to keep our skip to fill it with waste for later collection by us, this is not a problem. We can hire the skip out to you but please do let us know this when you are ordering your aggregates.

We offer delivery of our recycled aggregates around an 1 hour from our site in Coleford BA3. Delivery further afield can be organised but sadly we cannot offer a fully nationwide delivery service. Please give us a call on 01761 479444 to see if we can deliver to your site if it is more than 1 hour from us. Orders under 6 tonnes are only delivered locally.

We deliver to destinations that are around 1 hour from our site in Coleford, BA3. To see more details about our local delivery area, see the maps on our delivery coverage page.

Our recycled aggregates are delivered in a skip (if your order is under 6 tonnes) or in a RoRo skip (for orders that are 6 tonnes or more). The aggregates are then tipped out where you want at your site. Please note that we only offer delivery more than 1 hours travel from our Coleford BA3 site for orders that are 6 tonnes or more.

We offer a wait and load skip hire service. Once the aggregate has been tipped out, the lorry driver will leave the skip attached to the lorry and give you half an hour to fill the skip. Once full, our driver will take the full skip away and return it to our depot. Speak to our customer services team about adding this onto your aggregates order.

Yes. We are very happy to match and beat quotes for local recycled aggregates and delivery. Give our customer services a call on 01761 479444 and send them a copy of the quote you have received.

Our recycling process starts with the raw material that comes into our recycling centres; concrete, hardcore, tarmac, hoggin, ‘as dug’ ballast, brick, stone, rubble, etc. This is checked over by our team before tipping, crushing at a specific size and close screening using our five-way split unit.

At JWitt, we have invested in the latest equipment to ensure our recycled aggregates are of the highest quality. All our aggregates are produced in full accordance with the WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) Quality Protocol. All of them are MOT certified too.

The Waste and Resources Action Program (WRAP) Quality Protocol is widely accepted as best practice in the production of recycled aggregates from construction waste.

If recycled aggregates are manufactured from inert waste, in line with the  Quality Protocol, they no longer need to be treated as a waste product, and no waste permits are required to sell, transport and use them on your site.

It gives buyers and users confidence that the product they are purchasing conforms to an approved industry standard. And confidence that the recycled aggregates have been produced with the protection of human health and the environment front of mind.

You can find out more about the WRAP Quality protocol and recycled aggregates here
