Metal recycling is a hassle-free process at JWitt. Give us your metal for recycling via our regular household recycling waste collections, in our skips and RoRos or drop it off at our waste transfer station.

Zero to landfill
All the metal we collect and receive is screened, sorted and separated into ferrous and non-ferrous metals for recycling. It is then transferred into large RoRos and taken to a specialist metal recycling company close to our depot.
We offer good prices for larger amounts of metal – contact us for a quote and to find out about any rebates we are running for smaller trade customers.
At JWitt, we accept a wide variety of different scrap metal waste from businesses, contractors, manufacturers, traders and the public. This includes:
- Demolition scrap
- Metal roof sheeting
- Old radiators
- Steel frames
- White goods such as fridges, freezers, etc.
- Copper such as cables and wiring
- Cast iron
- Brass
- Aluminium
- Lead
- Stainless steel
We are not able to receive scrap metal from vehicles or scrap vehicles.

Metal waste management
All metals found in our mixed waste and uPVC recycling is removed including very small metal pieces known as fines. Our construction, soil and rubble waste are also checked for fines before they are recycled into aggregates.
Metal has been recognised as a valuable recyclable material for generations so there is no good reason for any metal to go to landfill.
